Speaking of "Oh, Wicked Wanda"--you HAVE got something n the new Kramers, haven't you?!? Still haven't got my copy as I live in the back o' beyond A.K.A England...
I was very impressed by The Heavy Hand, sir...especially the latter half...it's like "automatic comics", almost. And I love those chunky G-Nib (?Maybe?) lines and big noses...hahah I bet that does your fucking head in, "you're the guy who draws the big noses, aren't you?"!? Well, I think they're fantastic.

All the best,

Ant

Thanks for reading The Heavy Hand, Vollsticks! Yeah, I have 8 pages in the new KE#8, I dug up this from my old minicomic as a goofy coincidence...glad you like the lines, I use Speedball nibs mostly, and whatever cheap brand of brushes I can get. Those Kramers are not even in shops here yet, so don't feel too behind...OK thanks again!

Got my Kramers' yesterday! Whoo! "Secret Tourist" is one of the best things in there. Bit of an...uh, INCONSISTENT, shall we say, anthology, number 8...AMAZING Panter, Shaw & Santoro and Cilla stories but who THE FUCK needs 20-odd pages of Leon Sadler?!?! I fucking don't. "Oh, Wicked Wanda" is pretty good, never seen it before...anyway thanks for writing back, would you accept a "friend" request on facebook or is that too much of an imposition? Totally cool if it is, Mr. Cilla!
Thanks for the "tools" info--I really did think that your linework was 95% G-Nib! You using a 108 or something like that?
Thanks for writing back also!

All the best!

Thanks, glad you liked Secret Tourist. Honestly, I wish the Gary Panter strip went on for 30 more pages! feel free to click on FaceBook stuff, I post dumb sh*t & self promotional links with inconsistent frequency. I mainly use the "C" series of nibs from Speedball, 5 or 6. I have been recommended the G-nibs, I'll have to try them...

So are those the lettering nibs with the thing over the tines--the ones with the, like, squared-off ends?

Will "friend" you on Facefart, expect a request from Antony Volley, okay?

I thought your comic in Kramers 7 was on of the best things in there--a lot of the cartoonists involved didn't really take full advantage of the size, I felt, but the pieces by yourself, David Heatley, Josh Simmons and Will Sweeney especially embraced the huge page size and produced interesting, "eye-vibrating" work.

Thanks again for writing back Mr. Cilla!

Best,

Ant
